the speech was the most important and heartfelt moment of the night; finally giving the people of the world, and Micheal himself, what all the other award shows and memorial services having been trying but failing to do. Madonna’s words expressed with complete sincerity the gratitude, recognition, and acknowledgment that Michael Jackson has been deserving of since his death a few short weeks ago. Finally, for the first time in a very long time, I think people were seeing Michael in the light that he was always meant to be seen in…not a star, not a news story or Hollywood scandal, but as a person with a heart and a soul who helped put millions of smiles of people’s faces worldwide for the past four decades…
