This past weekend, just one night before the NBA All-Star Game, two big names in basketball & entertainment teamed up to host a classy night of charity, hope, and celebration. Jay-Z, hip-hop mogul and owner of the New Jersey Nets, and Lebron James, star player of the Cleveland Cavaliers, co-hosted the 4th Annual Two Kings Dinner at the W Hotel in Dallas, Texas. The event was sponsored by the newly popular search engine, Bing, and was highly successful. The Annual Two Kings dinner is held every year to allow stars and people of influence to the opportunity to exchange ideas on the subject of how they can give back to the public. Host Jay-Z described the event as a way to become a role model.
“I never had these sort of role models growing up. I never had anyone come around and talk to me. I had to figure it out on my own. One of my promises to myself is that I’ll never forget my journey. I’ll always give back and speak to people that are going through the same thing I was going through.”
-Jay-Z, Event Co-Host-
Stars turned out in droves dressed to the nines in their sexiest and sleekest black and white tie attire. Celebrities and special guests spotted at the event include P Diddy, Drake, Russel Simmons, Olivia Munn (29; host of G4’s Attack of the Show; received a personal invite to the dinner by hosts Mr. Carter & Mr. James), Ludacris, Cortez Bryant, Chris Paul, Steve Stoute, Spike Lee, Gayle King, Michael Eric Dyson, Terrell Owens, Jason Kidd, Regina King, Gabriel Union, and Jamie Foxx to name a few. The night was a time of celebration and hopes for the future full of champagne, dancing, and a jubilant atmosphere.
