Bow Wow Signs To Cash Money: Earlier this year, rapper Bow Wow parted ways with his long time record label, Colombia Records, for a wide variety of reasons.  So throughout 2009, Bow Wow has been busy shopping his different options, and came close to signing a few major deals.  Throughout the summer, he was in negotiations with T.I.’s Grand Hustle (Atlantic Records), relaunching So So Def with mentor Jermaine Dupri, and his ultimate choice Cash Money Records.  With his first project, a mixtape titled “The GreenLight,” already out for listeners to enjoy, Bow Wow is pushing ahead with full steam with intent to make his stamp on the label as a Cash Money bread winner.  Of his new relationship with Cash Money Bow Wow says, “We all want to win, and in order to do that, we have to cover all bases…With me coming to Cash Money, I bring something to the table that hasn’t been there in their history. I bring the whole Hollywood side, from that perspective.”

nickiminajCash Money’s New Female Rapper – Nicki Minaj: Coming off of a XXL feature, spots on Lil Waynes’ mixtapes, her own ’07 mixtape called “Playtime is Over,” the title of ‘Female Artist of the Year’ at the Underground Music Awards, and a significant amount of internet fame on major sites such as MTV.com and BET.com for her 2009 mixtape, ‘Beam Me Up Scotty,’ singer/rapper Nicki Minaj is certainly trying to climb to the top in the majorly man dominated industry of rap.  But Nicki Minaj proved she had something that all the other girls didnt when she was signed to Young Money Entertainment (an imprint of Cash Money Records; distributed by Universal Records) this past August 2009.  Right now, the diva is strapped down in the studio working on her first official studio debut album expected to drop sometime in 2010.  And don’t be fooled by her fine curves and sexy attitude, this woman is more than just a pretty face or a ‘barbie’ as she likes to put it.  Her flow is hard and when she spits she would murder almost any homie on the street.  Keep a sharp eye out for Miss Minaj in the coming months.  For more info and media on Nicki Minaj check out her official myspace page at myspace.com/nickiminaj.
